The Best Western Burnett Arms is located in the centre of the small but busy town of Banchory on Royal Deeside. The local area is renowned for its breathtaking beauty and numerous local attractions and is an excellent place to start if following either the Castle Trail or the Whisky Trail. Within 40 minutes drive there are Crathes Castle (3 miles), Drum Castle (5 miles), Aboyne Castle (15 miles), Dunnottar Castle (15 miles), Craigievar Castle (16 miles) and of course Balmoral Castle (30 miles). These are just a few of the castles in the immediate vicinity as there are too many to list.
Heading West there is the Royal Lochnagar Distillery at Ballater and from there you can turn north to the Tomintoul, Glenlivet, Inver, Glenfarclas and Aberlour Distilleries. To the south there are both the Fettercairn and Glencadam Distilleries within 45 minutes drive.
Banchory Golf Club, only 3 minutes walk from the hotel, is an 18 hole golf course beautifully situated by the River Dee and features one of the shortest par threes in Scotland, "The Doo'cot", at 88 yards.
Inchmarlo Golf Centre, just outside the town and only 4 minutes in the car, has both an 18 hole course, "the Laird's Course" and a small 9 hole course, "The Queen's Course". There are over 20 more golf courses within 40 minutes drive from the hotel.
Situated within the town there are tennis courts, a bowling green, a putting green and a swimming pool and sports centre. Shooting, fishing and hill walking are all available in the immediate area.
