Founded in 1905, the original concept of Banchory Golf Club was to provide the villagers of Banchory with a place to play golf. As Banchory has grown so has its golf course and recently the course has been extensively remodelled by renowned Scottish golf course architect John Souter.

Only 3 minutes walk from the hotel and set above the bonnie banks of the Royal river - The River Dee - the picturesque par 69 - 18 hole golf course offers a challenge to golfers of all standards. Though not over long at 5801 yards - don't be fooled. Strategically placed bunkers, mature native trees and the "magnetic" River Dee provide obstacles that can test even the most accomplished player.

From one of the shortest holes in Scottish golf, the 88 yards "Doo'cot", to some of the most testing long holes, Banchory Golf Club has something for everyone.

Inchmarlo Golf Club is set in the heart of Royal Deeside amidst the foothills of the Scottish Highlands. Only 4 minutes in the car from the hotel it offers an 18 hole course "The Laird's Course" - 6063 yards par 70, a 9 hole course "The Queen's Course" - 2150 yards par 32 and a 30 bay driving range.

The Laird's Course opened in 2001 and is built in the hills to the west of Banchory. It opened to some acclaim, being recently nominated for the best new course in Britain, putting it in the top 20 new courses in the United Kingdom.
